There are only a few movie franchises that my husband and I must see in theaters. No matter what month or day of release, we’re absolutely making plans to see almost any new Batman, Spiderman, Planet of the Apes, James Bond, and Star Wars movie. We’re all caught up on the lore and truly enjoy the different storylines, so we can’t miss out on a new edition. We recently scheduled a movie date to see The Mandalorian and Grogu on the big screen, the latest and most awaited release from Lucasfilm Studios.

Star Wars as a franchise has a large varied collection of art. There is the beloved Clone Wars TV show that introduced us to Ahsoka, the Original Trilogy that can do no wrong, and The Mandalorian that instantly became a fan favorite. There have also been a few flops over the years like the pitiful Sequels and the agenda-pushing Acolyte. It’s nearly impossible to guess what will hit before watching, so I make sure to at least give everything a chance before writing it off. I love a good Sunday matinee movie date. There’s usually less people in the theaters, the tickets are cheaper, and the timing works well enough to not throw off any of our other responsibilities. We heard great reviews that Inside Out 2 was a really good story, so we watched the first installment and quickly made plans to go see the second movie before it ended its theater run.
